Kim's Portrait in Progress
Now that I just got to see those beautiful blue eyes, I can finish working on those eyes and put some life into them! check out http://judithreidy.blogspot.com/2012/05/portrait-development-project.html

Portrait Development Project

Here we see the under-painting in red iron oxide.
Here we have the beginning of the the glazing of the colors.
Still some softening of values in the face especially the cheeks.  I like th way the painting is developing.   Notice the color studies for the flesh tones.
This has been a stunning project for me.

Fred Bell and I, Judith Reidy Start Paintings at McCarthy Park

Yesterday it was our first really warm day for 2012.  So as our tradition goes, Fred and I always find a place to paint.  This year it was the north end of McCarty park in West Allis.  We both had a great start on our respective paintings and had a lot of laughs.

You should know that
Fred Bell
  has his
opening tonight at the Portrait Gallery.
It is a great exhibition.
