Plein Air at the Fair...the Wisconsin state fair

I want to invite you to come to the fair.....

Plein Air, French for painting in the “open air,” is new for the 2015 Fair. On Monday, August 10, the Fair itself will become the canvas for artists as they paint their way around the Fair. Feel free to watch as they create Fair inspired masterpieces. Fairgoers can support their favorite artists by purchasing Plein Air artwork after judging is completed on Tuesday, August 11 in the Exposition Center Lobby.

My painting made 1st Place at Milwaukee Historic Third Ward Plein Air Event 2015

Well, here is my painting Riverwalk View 12x36" unframed which I painted in the Third Ward Plein Air Event 2015!

It won First Place!  

 It also was purchased by a couple at the reception last night.  It will  be on public view thru 4pm Saturday July 25 at the Hudson Business Lounge at 301 N Broadway Milwaukee, WI in the Third Ward.  You are welcome to view it while it remains on public view there today.

Wauwatosa Garden Show Painting of Boultman Home

Saturday, I had the opportunity to paint at the Wauwatosa Garden Tour. 
I painted the Boultman Home and lovely garden which the family purchased for their daughter who grew up in that home but now lives elsewhere with her growing family.

Fred Bell and I, Judith Reidy Start Paintings at McCarthy Park

 Yesterday it was our first really warm day for 2012.  So as our tradition goes, Fred and I always find a place to paint.  This year it was the north end of McCarty park in West Allis.  We both had a great start on our respective paintings and had a lot of laughs.
